Tattnall County has gone a perfect 8-0 against Liberty County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Tattnall County Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Liberty County Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Tattnall County will be strutting in after a victory while Liberty County will be coming in after a defeat.
Tattnall County will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Brantley County, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Tattnall County had just enough and edged out Brantley County 3-2.
Aiden Brock spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lane Dutton was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Tattnall County is undefeated when Dutton posts two or more runs, but 0-4 otherwise. Miles Brown was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Liberty County's offense. They came up short against First Coast on Saturday, falling 9-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.
Liberty County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jahair Rodriguez, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base. Rodriguez also put up a hit, which was his first of the season.
Tattnall County's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Liberty County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tattnall County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Liberty County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Tattnall County took their victory against Liberty County in their previous matchup back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 11-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tattnall County since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
