Soccer Recap: Thursday's Win Is Wilmington Christian's Third in Last Four Outings

Wilmington Christian barely beat Sanford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Wilmington Christian's defense stepped up to hand Sanford a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 1-0 back in April.

Wilmington Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four games. As for Sanford, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilmington Christian will head out to take on Tatnall at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sanford, they will venture away from home to challenge Wilmington Friends at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
