Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Brother Martin walked away with it. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Ponchatoula Green Wave on Tuesday. Considering the Crusaders have won 17 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Brother Martin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Ponchatoula, they moved to 23-11 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Brother Martin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Green Wave: the pair will be back at it again later today.
