The Annapolis Christian Academy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 52-20 loss at the hands of Lifegate Christian. Annapolis Christian Academy has not had much luck with Lifegate Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Lifegate Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hailee Lipsey, who scored 22 points along with seven steals. Lipsey is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Anelyna Cavazos was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Annapolis Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Lifegate Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
Annapolis Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Founders Classical Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Founders Classical Academy's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Annapolis Christian Academy has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. Lifegate Christian will take on Compass Rose Legacy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Compass Rose Legacy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1419th, while Lifegate Christian is ranked 596th).
