The Dixon Bulldogs's four-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They took down Clinton 66-51. The win was just what Dixon needed coming off of a 78-55 loss in their prior contest.
Dixon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cooper Tozier led the charge by scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. That's the first time this season that Tozier pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Grady Adams, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Dixon's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.5 points per game. As for Clinton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Dixon will look to defend their home court on January 12th against Croatan at 7:30 p.m. Clinton won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Union at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th. Union is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
