North Point's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the McDonough Rams as they made off with a 14-8 win. Sophia Weedin made a splash no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over 4.1 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Alyssa Blaney was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Jordyn Williams also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
