It was a good run, but the Hamilton Heights Christian Academy Hawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of DME Academy Gold by a score of 40-37.
Several Hawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elivia Moore, who scored 15 points. The matchup was Moore's third in a row with at least ten points. Aisse Coulibaly was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Hamilton Heights Christian Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Hamilton Heights Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for DME Academy Gold, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Hamilton Heights Christian Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Murray County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Murray County is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. DME Academy Gold does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
