Paige Busse and Kortney Dvorachek did most of the damage at the plate: Busse went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Dvorachek went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those four hits gave Dvorachek a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emersyn Sebo, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Reedsville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .568. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Kiel fell victim to New Holstein and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 9-0 to the Huskies. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Raiders have suffered since May 21, 2024.
Reedsville's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Kiel, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
Kiel's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Reedsville has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .458. It's a different story for Kiel, though, as they've only averaged .332. Will they be able to contain Reedsville's hitters?
