On Friday, things could have been worse for De Kalb, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-38 loss to Elysian Fields. De Kalb has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Among those leading the charge was Travis Stephens, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Elysian Fields' points. Another player making a difference was Ben Green, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds.
De Kalb now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Elysian Fields, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. De Kalb's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Sulphur Bluff at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. Elysian Fields will take on Marshall Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Marshall Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 995th, while Elysian Fields is ranked 488th).
