Hernando Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Neaya Richardson, who scored a point along with 12 rebounds and six steals, and Kelly Wong who scored nine points.
Hudson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grace Rutherford led the charge by scoring 11 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Leonna Hill, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Hernando Christian Academy bumped their record down to 6-10 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.0 points per game. As for Hudson, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.
Hernando Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Academy at the Lakes at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for Hudson, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Fivay at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th.
