While Katahdin put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Washburn. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Beavers. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Beavers: they've now won four in a row.

Katahdin's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Washburn, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
