The Maumee Panthers will head out to take on the Eastwood Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Eastwood will be up against a hot Maumee team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Everything went the Panthers' way against Rossford on Thursday as they made off with a 10-2 victory.

Hannah Ruiz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Taylor Smith was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Autumn Gugger was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Maumee kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Eastwood hadn't done well against Oak Harbor recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Rockets a 6-0 shutout.
The team relied heavily on Addison Bowe, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Stella Chlebowski, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Maumee's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Eastwood, their record now sits at 9-1.
Everything went Maumee's way against Eastwood in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Maumee made off with a 13-5 win. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
