Hope Academy lost against the Roosevelt Teddies back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Hope Academy was the victim of a tough 70-49 loss at the hands of Roosevelt. Hope Academy has not had much luck with Roosevelt recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Among those leading the charge was Obie Esparza, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Wells, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Hope Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Roosevelt, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
