Tatum is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Hagerman a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Tatum Coyotes will welcome the Hagerman Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
On Friday, Tatum came up short against Eunice and fell 54-44.

Tatum's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Aaron Marizcal, who posted 18 points and five rebounds, and Anthony Montez, who scored eight points in addition to five assists and five steals. Marizcal has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Jason Tucker was another key player, putting up five points.
Meanwhile, Hagerman suffered their closest loss since January 21, 2025 on Friday. They fell just short of Loving by a score of 59-56. Bobcats fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Falcons since Friday.
Tatum will have to contain Felix Chacon as he made an impact in Hagerman's last game. He almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine boards. Thanks to that strong game, Chacon now owns an excellent 45.6% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Ricardo McTague, who shot 50% from the field en route to 12 points and three steals.
Tatum's defeat dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Hagerman, their loss dropped their record down to 6-19.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Tatum has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 23 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Hagerman struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.4 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Tatum beat Hagerman 60-51 in their previous matchup last Friday. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Chacon, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Coyotes still be able to contain Chacon? There's only one way to find out.
