 At the plate,  Peighton Francis and  Arnesia Dews did most of the damage at the plate:  Francis  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double, while  Dews  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  stolen base. Dews is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last four games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Olivia Ensley, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.

 Meanwhile, Nelson County fought the good fight in their extra-innings  contest against Chatham  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of  4-2. Having soared to a lofty 11  runs in the game before, the Governors couldn't push the score so high this time.
 Nelson County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for William Campbell, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
