The Granville Golden Horde pushed their score all the way to 55 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chatham. Granville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Granville still got an impressive performance from Liam Farrell, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. Farrell continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was William Jennings, who scored two points along with eight rebounds and five blocks.
Granville's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7. As for Chatham, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10.
Granville won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. North Warren Central will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Chatham does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
