Given St. Joseph Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 502nd, while Pacific Ridge is ranked 1105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Calvin Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for St. Joseph Academy, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8.

A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of St. Joseph Academy's Angel Ochoa, who scored 33 points along with three steals.
