Baseball Recap: Lawrence North Triumphs

Lawrence North never let their opponents score on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Ben Davis Giants. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Giants: they've now won nine in a row.

Not much got past Carter Nahre, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Ben Davis off the board. Nahre also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lawrence North is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 7-13 otherwise.

At the plate, Lawrence North saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Maskel, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Those two hits gave Maskel a new career-high.

Lawrence North's record is now 11-13. As for Ben Davis, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
