It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Salem Hills Skyhawks ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Spanish Fork 51-49. The win was familiar territory for Salem Hills who now have three in a row.
Brooke Warren continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi King, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and two blocks.
Salem Hills' victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Spanish Fork, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.
Salem Hills will head out on the road to face off against the Thunderbirds at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Timpview will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Spanish Fork will take on the Red Devils at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Springville is ranked 74th, while the Dons are ranked 64th).
