DSST: Cedar has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Lincoln Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. DSST: Cedar will be strutting in after a victory while the Lancers will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, DSST: Cedar beat the Rams 54-46.
It was another big night for Katelyn Fortune, who scored 18 points along with four steals. Fortune is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aminata Ndiaye, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lincoln's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 60-24 loss at the hands of Kennedy. Lincoln was down 39-18 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
DSST: Cedar has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Lincoln, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-10.
DSST: Cedar strolled past the Lancers in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 33-17. The rematch might be a little tougher for DSST: Cedar since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
