Pekin extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 15-5. They skirted past the Limestone Rockets 7-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 back in March.
Zoe Lindahl was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over eight innings pitched. Lindahl was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and one RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kinley Arnold, who went 4-for-5 with three RBI and two doubles. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Patience Toungett, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple and one run.
Pekin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Limestone only posted a batting average of .206.
As for Limestone, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since April 9th.
On Limestone's side, BERKLEY JACKSON and BRIANNA BIRKETT did some serious damage despite the final result: JACKSON went 3-for-4 with one run and one double, while BIRKETT went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. Another player making a difference was MCKINLEY ALLISON, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Pekin has already played their next matchup, a 15-5 loss against Glenwood on the 25th. As for Limestone, they will venture away from home to square off against Canton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Little Giants' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Rockets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
