It was a good run, but the First Baptist Academy Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to Gateway. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

First Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Gateway, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
