The West Springfield Terriers will head out on the road to face off against the Chicopee Comp Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
West Springfield's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell just short of Commerce by a score of 66-64.
Even though Chicopee Comp has not done well against Pittsfield recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Chicopee Comp came out on top against Pittsfield by a score of 72-64.
West Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Chicopee Comp, their victory was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0.
West Springfield strolled past Chicopee Comp when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a score of 50-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Springfield since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
