Pineville has gone 9-1 against Ouachita Parish recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Pineville will welcome Ouachita Parish at 5:30 p.m. Pineville will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
On Monday, Pineville got the win against Glenmora by a conclusive 13-1. Considering the Rebels have won 16 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Chelsie Simpson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Madalyn Halle was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassidy Sicuro, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Pineville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glenmora only posted an OBP of .118.
Meanwhile, Ouachita Parish suffered their biggest loss since March 1st on Monday. They lost 19-3 to Calvary Baptist Academy. The Lions have struggled against the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
Aaliyah Alfaro and Rheagan Montgomery did some serious damage despite the final result: Alfaro went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two runs, while Montgomery went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Pineville pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Ouachita Parish, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pineville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .429. However, it's not like Ouachita Parish struggles in that department as they've averaged .381. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pineville took their win against Ouachita Parish in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1. Will Pineville repeat their success, or does Ouachita Parish has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
