Danny Nelson posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Lower Dauphin back in April of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Nelson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Nelson and Hershey will venture away from home to square off against Central Dauphin East at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans are 8-2 against the Panthers going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
