Meanwhile, Pacelli had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 87-25 victory over Tri-County on the road. Fans of Pacelli have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Pacelli's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaydon Awe led the charge by scoring 22 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Awe has scored at least 25% of Pacelli's points. Camden Schurk was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
Rosholt's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Pacelli, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Rosholt was dealt a bruising 69-25 loss at the hands of Pacelli when the teams last played back in January. Can Rosholt avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
