The St. Charles East Fighting Saints were able to grind out a solid win over the Huntley Red Raiders on Saturday, taking the game 18-6.
Evelyn Freundt and Lyla Ginczycki certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Freundt picked up 139 receiving yards and one touchdown, while Ginczycki threw for 165 yards and one TD. Freundt showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 50 yards.
The victory got St. Charles East back to even at 4-4. As for Huntley, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-3 record.
