On Tuesday Langley's undefeated season almost came to an end. They never let the Herndon Hornets get on the board and left with  a   1-0  victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Saxons have posted  against the Hornets since April 27, 2022.

 Norah Jacques was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with one  double and one  RBI.
 Jacques wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Caitlin Hohenthaner, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double. That's the most  hits  Hohenthaner has posted since back in April of 2024.
Langley's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Herndon, their  defeat was their first of the  season and  makes their record 2-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Langley will square off against Westfield at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Herndon, they will challenge Wakefield at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Wakefield will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  win, something Herndon surely won't give up without a fight.
