The Western Hills Mustangs's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Woodward Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Western Hills knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 19 games -- so hopefully the Bulldogs like a good challenge.
Western Hills pushed their score all the way to 64 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 74-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Goshen. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (56), Western Hills still had to take the loss.
Woodward only won by three when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 34-point they dealt the Trailblazers on Tuesday. Woodward claimed a resounding 77-43 win over the Trailblazers at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-20.
Western Hills' loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Woodward, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.
Western Hills and the Bulldogs were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but the Mustangs came up empty-handed after a 68-67 loss. Can Western Hills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
