The Crescent Loggers entered their tilt with the Darrington Loggers with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Crescent sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 39-37 win over Darrington on Wednesday. For Crescent, this counts as revenge for the 24-20 defeat Darrington walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Crescent's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Naomii Spraque, who scored 19 points along with five steals. Spraque hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Ciara Cargo-Acosta was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Crescent's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. As for Darrington, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Crescent will head out on the road to face off against Clallam Bay at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Darrington, they will be playing at home against Coupeville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
