On Thursday, NSU University beat Lake Howell 61-52. Given NSU University's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Lake Howell is ranked 220th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Anthony Ferrer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points. The matchup was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Julian Granville, who scored 12 points.
The win makes it two in a row for NSU University and bumps their season record up to 10-2. As for Lake Howell, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
NSU University's road trip will continue as they head out to face Legacy Charter at 11:30 a.m. on December 29th. Hopefully Legacy Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday. Lake Howell won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against New Smyrna Beach at 8:30 p.m. on December 29th.
