Melrose had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Wilmington on Tuesday. The Red Raiders put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 7-0 win. Considering the Red Raiders have won five matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Melrose's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Wilmington, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13.
