Culver Academies had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the DeKalb Barons on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Barons: they've now won three in a row.

Hayley Chapman paced Culver Academies' offense, picking up seven kills. Chapman got some help from Barrett Brady and her seven assists. Amelia Binkley controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

DeKalb is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Culver Academies didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Richmond on the 23rd. As for DeKalb, they will head out to face off against Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
