The Valwood Valiants extended their postseason success on Friday against Frederica Academy. They put the hurt on the with a sharp 56-30 victory. Valwood might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won ten matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Valwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marquis Fennell, who rushed for 187 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries. Fennell was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 69 yards. Another player making a difference was Triston White, who rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
The victory was the seventh in a row for Valwood, bringing their record for this year to 10-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Frederica Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Valwood will face off against John Milledge Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. John Milledge Academy will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line. Frederica Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
