The J.F. Webb Warriors will face off against the Carrboro Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. J.F. Webb is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
J.F. Webb's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Southern School of Energy and Sustainability 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Terrie Thornton made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zikerra Reed, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and six RBI. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Simone Ovando was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
J.F. Webb was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 11 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Carrboro's offense. They lost 14-0 to South Granville on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost nine in a row.
J.F. Webb pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Carrboro, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. J.F. Webb hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .421. However, it's not like Carrboro struggles in that department as they've averaged .331. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
J.F. Webb took their victory against Carrboro in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-6 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
