Thunder Ridge extended the longest winning streak in Northern Plains (8 Man) this week by beating Stockton, 48-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Longhorns.
Sylvan-Lucas took down Healy/Western Plains 54-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Trey Dubbert and Eriq Perez gave St. John's/Tipton Catholic a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Dubbert threw for 109 yards and two touchdowns, while Perez ran for 135 yards. Connor Eilert also contributed to the rushing game with 66 yards on the ground.
Jordan Bess provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Wilson lost to Dighton. He completed eight passes for 128 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 61 yards. Bess' favorite target this week was Marcus Denham, who caught three passes for 75 yards.
Caleb Brummer made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Bluejays defeated Palco. The 5-foot-10 junior forced one fumble, recorded one fumble and racked up 5.0 sacks.
The Dragons' Bess and Cole Zelenka have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Bess has thrown for 847 yards this season, while Zelenka has 25 catches for 332 yards. Robert Cox from Pike Valley leads the league in rushing with 742 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Wilson takes on the Mustangs. At the moment, Tony Brokes' team is in fifth, while Sylvan-Lucas is in seventh.
The Mustangs made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 625 from 756. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 54-0 victory over the Eagles last week.
