LINDEN, Mich. - the Eagles scored 21 points in the second quarter to secure a big 38-12 victory over
Clio (Mich.) on Saturday.
Linden scored on a touchdown run by
Gage Smith, a touchdown pass by Smith to
Austin Buerkel and a Smith touchdown pass to
Zac Kentish in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Smith to Kentish in the first quarter, LHS led 35-6 at the half.
The Eagles expanded their lead to 32 points entering the fourth quarter. Linden scored once in the quarter on a field goal by
Cameron Cook.
A 55-0 Linden victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss was the third in a row for the Mustangs.
Linden (2-1) will play a Flint Metro game against Kearsley next week, while Clio (0-3) will take on Holly also in a Flint Metro game.
