The American Leadership Academy Patriots lost against the Eastmark Firebirds last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. American Leadership Academy was beaten by the Firebirds 48-14. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for American Leadership Academy in their matchups with the Firebirds: they've now lost three in a row.
American Leadership Academy got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Brinlee Clouse and
Chloe Hancock, who each put up three points. Hancock also led the team in rebounds with seven.
Eastmark's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riley Farnstrom, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Anna LaFountain was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
American Leadership Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season. As for Eastmark, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. American Leadership Academy and the Coyotes will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Combs and the Patriots are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
