The Nederland Panthers lost against the Loveland Classical Lions back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Nederland had to suffer through a rough 69-21 loss at the hands of Loveland Classical. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Nederland has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Nederland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Gavin Dillon. Despite the final result, he scored seven points. Another player making a difference was Davyn Meade, who scored two points along with five rebounds.
Nederland bumped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Loveland Classical, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nederland will take on Two Roads Charter School at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Two Roads Charter School is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Loveland Classical, they will be playing at home against Timnath at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Timnath will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 249th, while Loveland Classical is ranked 80th).
