BROOKE INGRAM was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was ALYSHA BROWN, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Southwestern Randolph had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.6 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 66-25 stomp they got at home against Leadership Academy. Southwestern Randolph might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven matches by 27 points or more this season.
Providence Grove's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Southwestern Randolph, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
Providence Grove came up short against Southwestern Randolph in their previous meeting last Tuesday, falling 63-53. Can Providence Grove avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
