Ralston Valley is a perfect 5-0 against Chatfield since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mustangs will face off against the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Ralston Valley is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Ralston Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Valor Christian, who was ranked third at the time (Ralston Valley was ranked second). The Mustangs put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 38-14 victory on Friday. The contest marked the Mustangs' most dominant win of the season so far.

Zeke Andrews had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 121 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 215 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes. Those 121 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Ralston Valley's leading receiver Nico Benallo was Andrews' top target yet again, picking up 96 receiving yards and one score, while also punching in one rushing score.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ralston Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 258 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Another reason for the win was Ralston Valley's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, Chatfield played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 44-20 to Douglas County. The Chargers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-6.
Ralston Valley will have to contain Cash Williams as he made an impact in Chatfield's last game. He rushed for 113 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 100 yards and one TD. Williams got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 69 yards. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Emerson Lakra, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
Chatfield now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Ralston Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Andrews and Williams. Andrews just won't slow down this season and has thrown 14 touchdowns while averaging 257.2 passing yards per game. Williams has been a dominant force too and has thrown 12 touchdowns while averaging 158.8 passing yards per game.
Ralston Valley won a contest that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in October of 2024, slipping by Chatfield 5-4. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
