Baseball Recap: Gorham Makes It Five in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Gorham, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They never let the Westbrook Blue Blazes get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Miles Brenner, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Nadeau, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Gorham pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.2 runs on average over those games. As for Westbrook, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 0.8, the Red Riots 1.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Westbrook will challenge rival Marshwood at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
