In what's become a running theme this season, KIPP Cooper Norcross gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Pemberton with a sharp 64-43 victory. Given KIPP Cooper Norcross' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Hornets are ranked 265th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Westampton Tech's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their eighth straight defeat. They fell to Cherry Hill East 55-49.
Despite the loss, Westampton Tech had strong showings from Alexander Jeanty, who scored 21 points along with two blocks, and Daelan Dickerson, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jeanty has scored all season.
KIPP Cooper Norcross is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Westampton Tech, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-14.
KIPP Cooper Norcross ended up a good deal behind the Panthers in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, losing 66-51. Can KIPP Cooper Norcross avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
