Basketball Recap: Lamar Beats Cypress Park for Their Fourth Straight Win

Lamar waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They had just enough and edged out the Cypress Park Tigers 52-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Texans also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Lamar found their leader in sophomore Brooke Mansour, who posted six points in addition to 14 boards and eight assists. Semaj Hebert was another key player, putting up ten points and six steals.

Lamar was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They are a perfect 5-0 when they've passed the ball that well.

Lamar's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Cypress Park, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Coming up, Lamar will be taking part in a tournament against Mayde Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cypress Park, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cypress Lakes at 6:30 p.m.
