The Fruitland Grizzlies will take on the Homedale Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fruitland will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Fruitland came out on top against Payette on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Grizzlies put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 12-2 win. Considering the Grizzlies have won 17 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Fruitland got a great performance from Jameson George as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 4.2 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave George a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
On the hitting side, Quinn Hood was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Titus Vidlak, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Fruitland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Payette only posted an OBP of .316.
Meanwhile, Homedale faced Cole Valley Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Trojans walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Chargers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.
Mason Taylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned runs on five hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lukas Hall, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Boston Ivie was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
Fruitland pushed their record up to 22-0 with the win, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Homedale, their win bumped their record up to 18-6.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fruitland hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .396. However, it's not like Homedale struggles in that department as they've averaged .325. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Fruitland took their victory against Homedale in their previous matchup on Wednesday by a conclusive 10-4 score. Do the Grizzlies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
