Interboro is a perfect 10-0 against Penn Wood since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Buccaneers will venture away from home to take on the Patriots at 3:30 p.m. Penn Wood took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Interboro, who comes in off a win.
Interboro had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Academy Park on Tuesday. The Buccaneers never let the Knights get on the board and left with a 10-0 win.

Jaxson Munro
Jaxson Munro made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Interboro is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 1-3 otherwise. Munro was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Evan Thomas, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. Justin Ursone was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Penn Wood fell victim to Chester and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Clippers, falling 15-0. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Clippers: they've now lost four in a row.
Penn Wood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Smith, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.
Interboro is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Penn Wood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Everything went Interboro's way against Penn Wood when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Interboro made off with a 17-0 win. Will the Buccaneers repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
