After only two runs in their last game, Gilbert Christian made sure to put some runs up on the board against ALA - Ironwood on Thursday. The Knights put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 13-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won seven matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Logan King was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. King was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Gilbert Christian got a massive performance out of Dane Coyle, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. Coyle has become a key player for the Knights: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-6 otherwise. Sam Webb was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Gilbert Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests.

Gilbert Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for ALA - Ironwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.
