The win was all the more spectacular given South Oak Cliff's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 763rd, while Kimball is ranked 326th).
Kimball's lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Marri Wickware, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Jaylon Dean-Vines was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
South Oak Cliff pushed their record up to 3-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Kimball, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Oak Cliff will take on Adamson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kimball, they will be playing at home against Sunset at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
