The Wallace Wildcats had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Sutherland 57-32. Wallace's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Leading Wallace to victory were Matt Lungrin and Max Hanson. Lungrin scored 21 points along with three steals, while Hanson scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. That's the first time this season that Hanson scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Jason Fisher, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Wallace's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Sutherland, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
Wallace will challenge Medicine Valley on Monday. Sutherland will be home for the holidays to greet South Platte at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
