Basketball Recap: Sierra Vista Gets the Win

If Ontario wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Sierra Vista, they should've done a better job of containing Ethan Guevara. The Dons walked away with a 57-45 win over the Jaguars on Thursday for which the team can thank Guevara, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.4 rebounds per game.

Peter Albir was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

Sierra Vista's record is now 4-1. As for Ontario, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 4-1.

Sierra Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-45 victory against Fontana on the 5th. As for Ontario, they will be playing at home against San Gorgonio at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
